Strategic Sourcing including spend analysis, market intelligence, RFI/RFP development, supplier selection, fact-based negotiations, as well as special topics such as global sourcing, sustainability, and purchasing ethics.
OPERATIONS PLANNING AND CONTROL SYSTEMS
Demand management, inventory management, capacity management, production planning and scheduling, and lean production; hands-on team project that integrates the course topics and concepts.
Management of physical flows of goods between firms, management of inventories that support those flows and assessment of the effects of transportation choices on these management activities.
DECISION MODELING AND ANALYSIS
Structured framework and process for modeling and analyzing business decisions using tools and techniques to improve skills, such as: decision trees, influence diagrams, spreadsheet-based decision modeling, Monte Carlo simulation, and demand forecasting.
SUPPLY CHAIN PRACTICUM
Semester long team-based project working on an SCRC partner company’s supply chain management issues, such as: inventory reduction, lean initiatives, forecasting, sustainability, and sourcing.
